2024 Leica iCON iCS50
How does it work?
The iCS50 combines robotic positioning, laser measurement and cameras. You control it from a tablet and can see the instrument’s camera view to select and aim at points.
With the Leica vPole, the instrument visually tracks the pole, automatically compensating for pole tilt and detecting pole height. This allows an operator to move around the site without constantly repositioning or manually aiming the instrument.

In simple terms
Think of the iCS50 as a robotic construction layout assistant:
Digital drawing/BIM → iCS50 → finds the position → operator marks/measures the physical location
Its main advantage is reducing the amount of manual surveying and layout work needed on a construction site while maintaining millimetre-level positioning accuracy. Leica introduced the iCS50 as part of its iCON trades construction-layout solution in 2024.
