The NORTEC™ 700 from Evident is a portable eddy current testing (ECT) and eddy current array (ECA) flaw detector designed primarily for aerospace, MRO, defense, industrial, and manufacturing inspections. It combines conventional eddy current inspection with advanced array capabilities on a single platform.

Why ECA is useful

Conventional ECT generally uses a single probe/coil and produces a signal that the operator interprets. Eddy Current Array uses multiple sensing elements, allowing a larger inspection area to be covered and producing an image such as a C-scan. This can make defect location and interpretation more intuitive and can improve inspection productivity.
