ACOEM Falcon Smart Vibration Analyzer and Data Collector
Important specifications
The FALCON platform supports synchronous acquisition on up to 4 channels, with sampling rates reported up to 102.4 kHz per channel and real-time processing up to 40 kHz on four channels. Storage is approximately 3.5 GB for measurements, and the rechargeable battery is specified for roughly 10 hours of intensive use in published specifications.
The instrument has a 7-inch color touchscreen, with a rugged IP65 design. -specifications give dimensions of approximately 200 × 265 × 65 mm and weight around 1.8 kg including battery and protective rubber.

What makes the Smart package different?
ACOEM has offered FALCON in several configurations, including Essential, Smart, Expert and Ultimate. The Smart configuration includes the data-collection capability together with automatic diagnosis and camera functionality, while more advanced packages add additional analog channels, expert measurements, balancing, run-up/coast-down and X-channel analysis.
For a maintenance team, the Smart configuration is particularly useful when the main objective is routine vibration routes + automatic fault detection, rather than advanced machinery dynamics testing.
Typical applications
- Motors and motor-driven equipment
- Pumps
- Fans and blowers
- Gearboxes
- Compressors
- Bearings
- Rotating production machinery
- Plant-wide predictive-maintenance routes
- Vibration-based troubleshooting
Acoem states that the system can configure a rotating asset in less than two minutes and that typical measurement time can be around 8 seconds per bearing using the wireless tri-axial sensor.
Bottom line: FALCON Smart is best viewed as a complete portable predictive-maintenance platform, rather than simply a vibration meter. Its major advantages are the wireless tri-axial measurement, automatic Accurex diagnosis, route-based data collection, built-in temperature/RPM/camera functions, and integration with Acoem’s analysis ecosystem.
